AL Pine Utility Services Sdn. Bhd. conducted a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative in Kampung Poh Chee Leng, Skudai, Johor, to better understand recurring flood issues affecting the local community.

In collaboration with Flyability, technical inspection teams, and local stakeholders, the project used LiDAR-based drone technology to inspect monsoon drains and culvert pipes. The inspection focused on identifying potential blockages, assessing infrastructure conditions, and gathering accurate drainage data that may be difficult to obtain through conventional methods.

The data collected through this initiative supports more informed flood mitigation planning and helps highlight key concerns to the relevant authorities. By combining advanced inspection technology with on-ground collaboration, AL Pine aims to contribute towards practical, sustainable, and data-driven solutions that improve flood management for the local community.
